The Palestinians Tell the World Their Strategy: Why Make Peace with Israel When We Can Get Everything from You Instead
By Barry Rubin

If you want to understand what's really going on in the alleged Israel-Palestinian peace process-beyond the babble that progress is being made, it's all Israel's fault, and everyone is working hard on it-here's what you need to know.

For the present, the Palestinian leadership isn't interested in pursuing negotiations with Israel because it has a different strategy: get everything it wants from others without making any concessions.

First, the Palestinian Authority (PA) came very close to obtaining a European Union (EU) resolution which made it sound like the Palestinian state with its capital in east Jerusalem is an accomplished fact. The rejection of the Swedish-sponsored proposal by more moderate European states staved this off, along with a U.S. reminder that this kind of issue was supposed to be resolved by a negotiated agreement between the PA and Israel.  Read on...

One that calls for a Response
Each Friday we take a meaningful quote, tie it to scripture, and leave you with a take-home.

Moshe Yaalon for email.jpgFormer Chief of Staff of the IDF and current Deputy Prime Minister Moshe Yaalon said: "When the Arabs realized they cannot defeat us with their armies, they turned to terrorism and rockets. Now they are realizing that they cannot defeat us this way either, so they are taking the path of de-legitimization. The success of Israel's de-legitimization stems from several elements, such as the new anti-Semitism, which at this time is manifested through anti-Israel sentiments in practice. There is another group, the liberals, some of whom are radicals while others are naïve. People who compare our security fence to the Berlin Wall, for example, are naïve."

God says: “I am Yahweh your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you. ‘Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob, O little Israel, for I myself will help you,’ declares Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.” (Isaiah 41:13-14).

The Jerusalem Connection says: We can count on the enemies of Israel to continue attempt to destroy them by outright military engagement, Jihadist terrorism, anti-Semitism and whatever means of de-legitimization is available. Israel’s salvation, both national and personal, will come only when they call on the name of Yahweh, which they are forbidden to do. God is clear, “Whoever calls on the name of Yahweh will be saved.” (Joel 2:32). Even Jesus re-emphasized this truth when he said, “You will see me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of Yahweh.’” (Matthew 23:39). Yahweh, the true name of the God of Israel, should be exalted to the mountain tops by both Jews and Christians.
