US president Barack Obama kept on turning the screw on Israeli minister Binyamin Netanyahu Wednesday, March 24, after their harsh conversation in the White House Tuesday: Netanyahu was told bluntly to issue a White House-dictated public pledge before leaving Washington for home to eschew further construction in East Jerusalem, or else face a US presidential notice condemning Israel and holding its government responsible for the failure to restart indirect Israel-Palestinian talks. Reporting this, debkafile's Washington sources add that Netanyahu's public renunciation of Jerusalem construction was required to include also the large Jewish suburbs of the city and remain in force for the duration of negotiations. Their support for Israel is decreasing and they will defend Israel in the face of the administration only on matters where there is a real threat to Israel. I have serious doubt that U.S. Jews see the Netanyahu government's territorial aspirations in Judea and Samaria [West Bank] and the Palestinian neighborhoods in Jerusalem as an existential matter."
God says: This is the word of Yahweh concerning Israel…"I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem.  The Jerusalem Connection says: Just after President Obama signed into law his health care bill this week he said, “This is what change looks like!” Likewise after this week’s visit of Prime Minister Netanyahu with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and President Obama, the same could be said. After this week we can definitely say the trend lines are toward change and in terms of the U.S. relationship with Israel that change doesn’t look good. Even according to Dov Weisglass above, it looks like most of the Jewish community would side with Obama, which is even more shocking. (Norman Podoretz in his book Why are Jews Liberal gives a revealing answer. Basically he asserts most American Jews have replaced Judaism with the basic tenants of political liberalism. That is, liberalism is their religion.) That being the case, and if Zechariah means what he says when he refers to “all the nations,” that most certainly would include the United States. If the U.S. continues to widen the gap with Israel, it’s only a matter of time before Christians are squarely in the crosshairs. Jesus’ admonition is certainly applicable. “Keep on the alert at all times, praying that you may have the strength to escape all these things that are about to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man.” (Luke 21:36). | |  Final Days
We are to “watch and pray” for the Lord’s return. We will help you do so by keeping our eyes on the “signs of the times” and reporting them to you. Jesus chastised the Pharisees for not knowing the signs of the times in His day. So He wants to us know the signs today, for they instill in us hope for the future and encourage us to evangelize the lost while there is still time.

The Obama administration, with the condemning rhetoric of Vice President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has sought to castigate Israel over the legitimate building of additional apartments in Jewish north Jerusalem. This is a contrived reaction designed only to widen the gap between the Obama administration and Israel and at the same time to appease Palestinian designs to create another apartheid Muslim state.
