Israel Apartheid Week Comes to Town
By Honestreporting.com

The false analogy between apartheid South Africa and Israel - particularly since the UN's racist 2001 Durban Conference - has played a key role in the campaign to delegitimize Israel and threaten its existence. The strategy of boycotts, divestment and sanctions (BDS) is based on convincing the public that Israel is no more legitimate than the apartheid regime in South Africa, and can be removed with enough public pressure.

Now, this insidious delegitimization campaign has returned to university campuses around the world, including the US, UK and Canada, as part of Israel Apartheid Week.  Read on...

One that calls for a Response
Each Friday we take a meaningful quote, tie it to scripture, and leave you with a take-home.

Dr. Dore Gold, Israel’s former Ambassador to the United Nations said: “Given the difficulty in applying the apartheid model to Israel, one wonders what the true hidden agenda is behind this campaign… Israel Apartheid Week is not about respect for human rights; it is an incredibly hypocritical initiative that ignores the apartheid practiced by the Palestinians themselves, who make the sale of land to Jews punishable by death. It is also not a movement dedicated to making peace, but rather to denying the historical rights of the Jewish people. The answer to the challenge is to expose the true intentions of its backers, who clearly seek to dismantle the State of Israel and deny its people their inherent right of self-determination.”

God says: “Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against Yahweh and against his Messiah…I have installed my King on Zion my holy hill…Therefore, you kings be wise; be warned, you rulers of the earth. Serve Yahweh with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry and you be destroyed in your way, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him.” (Psalm 2)

The Jerusalem Connection says:  Know for certain that the diabolical schemes and machinations of the nations of the world against the legitimacy of Israel’s existence will result in  colossal destruction and devastation. Israel’s enemies attempt to smear Israel as an apartheid state will ultimately result in Messiah’s “ruling them with an iron scepter and dashing them to pieces like pottery.” It is time that God’s people see the enemies of Israel from a Biblical perspective. Psalm 83 tells it like it really is. They are actually the enemies of God.

Israel on call in Haiti

As the nation of Haiti continues to recover from the devastating earthquake earlier this year, the world continues to marvel at who was first to come to Haiti's rescue. America? The E.U.? The Arab League? No, it was the tiny Jewish nation of Israel, from half a world away, that was first to set up a field hospital to treat the wounded just hours after the earth shook. In this video hear directly from the journalists who were there. In their own words they describe the crucial role played by Israel in bringing aid to a country in peril.

“Shabbat”

Some believe Shabbat (the Sabbath) is the most important holiday in the Bible, the one day of the week when believers stop their work, seek to honor God and meditate on spiritual issues, and, well, to shabbat, rest. This painting contains the beautiful kneaded Challah bread which is traditional for Shabbat, a bottle of kosher wine with the word Tikveh (Hope), and a traditional white and blue prayer shawl which has written on it in Hebrew “Blessed be the One who gave us Shabbat.”  The menorah has two lions, signifying the lion of Judah and the lion of Ephraim.   We pray this artwork will be a joy and a blessing to you as you “remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.”
