Obama is Pushing Israel Toward War
by Bret Stephens, Wall Street Journal

Events are fast pushing Israel toward a pre-emptive military strike on Iran's nuclear facilities, probably by next spring. That strike could well fail. Or it could succeed at the price of oil at $300 a barrel, a Middle East war, and American servicemen caught in between. So why is the Obama administration doing everything it can to speed the war process along?

At July's G-8 summit in Italy, Iran was given a September deadline to start negotiations over its nuclear programs. Last week, Iran gave its answer: No.

Instead, what Tehran offered was a five-page document that was the diplomatic equivalent of a giant kiss-off. It begins by lamenting the "ungodly ways of thinking prevailing in global relations" and proceeds to offer comprehensive talks on a variety of subjects: democracy, human rights, disarmament, terrorism, "respect for the rights of nations," and other areas where Iran is a paragon. Conspicuously absent from the document is any mention of Iran's nuclear program, now at the so-called breakout point, which both Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his boss Ali Khamenei insist is not up for discussion.  Continue Reading>>

One that calls for a Response
Each week we take a meaningful quote, tie it to scripture, and leave you with a take-home.

Abraham H. Foxman, the Anti-Defamation League (ADL) National Director said: “Anti-Semitism In America Remains Constant; 15 Percent Of Americans Hold 'Strong' Anti-Semitic Beliefs …What concerns us is that the successes we had seen moving toward a more tolerant and accepting America appears not to have taken hold as firmly as we had hoped …These findings, coupled with the ongoing acts of anti-Semitic incidents and hate crimes, suggest that anti-Semitic beliefs endure and resonate with a substantial segment of the population, nearly 35 million people."

God says:  “The LORD will scatter you among all nations, from one end of the earth to the other. There you will worship other gods—gods of wood and stone, which neither you nor your fathers have known.  Among those nations you will find no repose, no resting place for the sole of your foot. There the LORD will give you an anxious mind, eyes weary with longing, and a despairing heart.  You will live in constant suspense, filled with dread both night and day, never sure of your life.  In the morning you will say, "If only it were evening!" and in the evening, "If only it were morning!"-because of the terror that will fill your hearts and the sights that your eyes will see.” (Deuteronomy 28:64-67).

The Jerusalem Connection says: It is estimated that there were about 8,300,000 Jews in Europe prior to WWII. 6 million were killed in the Nazi death camps. About 1 million emigrated and escaped the Nazi war machine. However, there were at least a million that survived primarily through the efforts of Christians who hid them in safe houses throughout the war. Many of these “Righteous Gentiles” like Corrie Ten Boom who hid the likes of Anne Frank and her family, have been memorialized in Yad Vashem in Jerusalem.

There are many Jews and Christians that have seen the anti-Semitic parallels of Germany of the 1930’s and what is happening today worldwide including the United States (see video below). Hoping and praying that these horrific days will not be repeated, still there are many whom God has raised up to provide safe houses in case the need arises. If you would want to privately and quietly participate in a safe house network, write me and give me all your contact information. God bless you!

Presently there is an upsurge of Anti-Semitism in the world, and the demonization of the Jewish people.  They use the conflict with the Palestinians as an excuse but that's not the real cause of the hatred...

Chicken.jpgSweet Peach Glazed Chicken
By Emet Report

8 - 10 pieces of chicken, cleaned and skinned
1/4 cup flour
1/2 tsp. pepper

Preheat the oven to 375°F / 190°C.  Put the flour and the pepper into a plastic bag and shake well. Spray a large baking pan with cooking spray. Place each piece of chicken into the bag and shake it a bit to coat well. Lay it, upside down, onto the pan. Spray the chicken pieces lightly with the cooking spray. Slice one large onion into half rings and arrange them over the chicken. Bake, uncovered for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, prepare the rest of the recipe:

1 16 oz. can of peach slices, with the liquid reserved
2 T. canola oil
1/2 tsp. ground ginger
1 tsp. ground mustard powder
1 T. garlic powder
1 T. onion powder
1 tsp. soy sauce
1/2-cup ketchup
1 T. cornstarch
1 tsp. paprika

Slice the peaches into four slices each and set aside.  In a small pot, place the reserved juice from the peaches, oil, ginger, ground mustard, garlic and onion powders, soy sauce and ketchup. Bring to a boil and lower to simmer.  Place some of this liquid into a small bowl and add the cornstarch to it.   Mix with a wooden spoon until smooth and then immediately add it back into the sauce simmering in the pot. Turn off the flame and stir the sauce so it thickens. Set aside for a few minutes.

After 30 minutes have passed, remove the chicken from the oven and turn each piece over. Sprinkle with the paprika, then spoon the sauce over, allowing any extra sauce to seep between the chicken pieces. Arrange the peach slices on top and continue baking for another 55-60 minutes. Check after 30 minutes and if it seems to be drying out, cover the pan with foil until the chicken is done.

This is delicious served over rice.
