Each week we provide you with one of the week's most thought provoking articles.

Congratulations
As Christian Zionists, we want to express our congratulations to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the formation of a new Israeli government.

Prime Minister Netanyahu and the new government face many daunting challenges that will require a strong and unwavering response--from Iran sponsored terrorism through its proxies, Hamas and Hizbollah as well as its obsession with developing its own nuclear capability, to the growth of international anti-Semitism. Israel needs to be reassured that the Christian Zionist community stands with Israel especially in matters that relate to Biblical issues.

Likewise, we stand in solidarity with Prime Minister Netanyahu and his government and wish them God's speed and great success as we join them in Praying for the Peace of Jerusalem.

Obama to confront Israel on 'biblical heartland?'
By Aaron Klein

A delegation from the State Department promised the Palestinians the Obama administration will strongly oppose any new Jewish construction in the strategic, biblical West Bank, a top Palestinian Authority official told WND.

The PA official, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the U.S. delegation last week told the PA in a meeting it views Israel's presence in the West Bank as an obstacle to peace and that Obama was ready for a possible confrontation with incoming Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the issue of any new construction in the territory.

The PA official, who was present at last week's meeting in the West Bank city of Ramallah, said the State Department officials told the Palestinian leadership that Obama opposed both so-called illegal outposts and "natural growth" of settlements meaning expanding existing Jewish communities in the West Bank to accommodate a growing population.  Continue Reading>>

One that calls for a Response
Each week we take a meaningful quote, tie it to scripture, and leave you with a take-home.

New Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said: “There is only one document that binds us and it is not the Annapolis conference. That has no validity… We will go exactly according to 'The Roadmap to Peace.' We will never agree to skip any of the stages -- and there are 48 of them -- and go straight to the last stage on negotiations on a permanent agreement… Only 'The Roadmap to Peace'—The Israeli government and the Knesset (parliament) never adopted Annapolis.”
(Israel's new Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu does not support the two-state solution, saying the Palestinian economy needs to improve first.)

God says: “I will gather all nations and bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat. There I will enter into judgment against them concerning my inheritance, my people Israel, for they scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.”  (Joel 3:2).

God’s People will Pray:  “Remember, O LORD, what has happened to us; look, and see our disgrace. Our inheritance has been turned over to aliens, our homes to foreigners. We have become orphans and fatherless, our mothers like widows. We must buy the water we drink; our wood can be had only at a price. Those who pursue us are at our heels; we are weary and find no rest. We submitted to Egypt and Assyria to get enough bread. Our fathers sinned and are no more, and we bear their punishment.” (Lamentations 5:1-7).

The Jerusalem Connection says: The “sin of the fathers,” among other things, has been their desire to appease their enemies by giving up more and more “land for peace.” The “Road Map to Peace” and the “Two-State Solution” embody the policy of appeasement. And it will fail, just as previous appeasement peace plans have failed because the Palestinians do not want peace. They want, as they have stated, over and over again, the total destruction of Israel and its replacement by a Palestinian state. Aid will come to Israel by Divine intervention and that will come only when Israel’s back is to the wall and they have no other choice but to cry out to God. Until then this cosmetic dance of diplomacy will continue to Israel’s detriment. God’s people, who know the true and only solution must intercede on behalf of Israel and the Jewish people world-wide. It’s going to get worse before Messiah comes.

Video of 28-year old Netanyau debating Palestinian Statehood

A video has surfaced on the internet of a 28-year old Benyamin Netanyahu, calling himself Ben Nitay.  He appeared on the 1978 PBS TV show "The Advocate." In the 10-minute clip Netanyahu testifies in a mock court case over whether the US should support Palestinian statehood.  He warns about the dangers of a Palestinian state and is shown saying, "The real core of the conflict is the unfortunate Arab refusal to accept the State of Israel... For 20 years the Arabs had both the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, and if self-determination, as they now say, is the core of the conflict, they could have easily established a Palestinian state, but they didn't... What we're talking about here is not the attempt to build the state but to destroy one."  He is debated  by Fouad Ajami, now professor at Johns Hopkins University's SAIS.
