Please remember TJCI in your year-end giving

Dear Portia,

I cannot tell you how extremely grateful I am for you.  I am also grateful that the Christmas season is finally upon us, as it serves as a reminder to us of the character and accomplishment of Messiah Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer--that on the Cross he covered our worst by giving His best.

Also, Christmas reminds us that it is our sovereign Lord who is in control of all events.  And this should serve to encourage those of us who are experiencing financial challenges as well as those who are particularly concerned about our own safety and security as well as Israel's. Moreover, the miracle of Hanukkah, God's miraculous provision of oil for the Temple Menorah, serves to remind us that Yahweh Jireh, "My God will supply all your needs according to His glorious riches in Messiah Jesus." (Philippians 4:19).

On January 20, Senator Barack Obama will be sworn in as our nation's 44th President.  Not a month later, on February 10, Israel will elect a new Prime Minister. These new leaders have unprecedented opportunities, yet they also have grave challenges.  Outgoing leaders, President George Bush and Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, met for over an hour recently in the White House to discuss these challenges and offer advice to the new Administration.  Unfortunately, both men reiterated their failed vision to each other and a watching world.  President Bush said, "We strongly believe that Israel will benefit by having a Palestinian state."

Both leaders have been deceived by the enemy, and they continue to seek a truce with Radical Islam by giving them exactly what they have asked for more "land for peace," including a divided Jerusalem. It is our hope that new leaders in both countries will reject the failed policies of their predecessors and embrace what we are calling The Jerusalem Connection Peace Plan.

In the weeks following the historic inauguration of our very first black president, The Jerusalem Connection International (TJCI) will present our plan for Middle East peace to the new Congress and Senate, and to President-elect Barack Obama. We cannot say it enough: The policy of Israel and the U.S. will always be condemned to fail as long as the "Two-State" solution is advocated and as long as "Land for Peace" is the mantra.

Please pray for me and the staff here at TJCI.  Educating world leaders by distributing our Peace Plan will take time and an extraordinary toll on our staff here, but we believe our plan is thoroughly biblical and in the best interests of both Israel and the United States.  Our office has a strong culture of volunteerism which is why our overhead is low and our financial accountablity is above reproach.

As we approach the end of the year and the holy advent season, it is my prayer you will not only pray for our ministry but that you will consider again making a generous year-end contribution to our work.  Any gift will help right now - from $5 to $50 to $500 or more.

Also, I want to tell you about an exciting new monthly giving program called Covenant Partners.  Contributing to our ministry every month reduces the amount of mail we send and increases the amount of our steady income, helping us to budget better and to use your gift more wisely.

So, please consider becoming a monthly Jerusalem Connection International Covenant Partner this month.  I am recommitted to this mission.  I hope you are too.  May God richly bless you and your family during this season.
